Montgomery County Burn Ban

The Montgomery County, PA Commissioners have unanimously approved a resolution enacting a 30-day countywide ban on open fires, effective Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Open fires are defined as the ignition and subsequent burning of any combustible material (garbage, leaves, grass, twigs, litter, paper, vegetative matter involved with land clearing, or any sort of debris) outdoors in either ... Fire Prevention Activities
BFD, October 17
Over the past week the Department has participated in a couple Fire Prevention Demo's and visited Bridgeport Elementary School. Crews traveled to Radnor Fire Co. this past Saturday and took part in a vehicle rescue demonstration with members of Upper Merion Fire & EMS Squad 56-4 out of the King of Prussia Station. Skippack Touch-A-Truck Event

On Saturday September 21st the department had the opportunity to attend Skippack Township's Touch A Truck event. Small Exhaust Vent Fire
BFD, August 16
Department and mutual aids companies responded for a report fire on the roof of a business on the 200 block of E. 4th St. Crews arrived to find a fire inside the exhaust stack of the pizza oven of the business. Olympic Medalist

Returning from the 2024 Olympics in Paris was Borough resident Ariana Ramsey capturing a Bronze Medal. She was escort back home by family, residents, and departments members congratulating her for a lifetime achievement only a few get to take part in.
This is a first in history that any resident from Bridgeport Borough has had the honor of receiving a medal in the Olympics.

2024 Bridgeport Nation Night Out

Tuesday night August 13th the Fire Department attended the National Night Out for Bridgeport displaying our equipment that's used in emergencies we respond to. Members were on hand to show residents each of our apparatus and answer any questions they may have had, hand out fire prevention material and some small items for the kids to use when they go back to school this year. ...
